OHHH What a Night

Dec 2019 02

Anthony

The dust has settled on the 2019 championship season, a season full of entertainment and competitive racing. To finish off the season the annual prize-giving dinner-dance was held in the Park Hotel Dungarvan on the 23rd November. The success of the on-track action throughout the year was evident in the large numbers who attended. The meal, which was delicious as always, was just being digested when MC Anthony Lawton took to the stage with an array of prizes, which were kindly sponsored, at the ready to be presented. With the help of Martin Fitzgerald, a constant flow of winners moved forward to be presented with their prize by the different class sponsors. Also, as a memento, all junior drivers present on the night received a plaque- before, finally, the drivers of the year were announced in the ladies, juniors and senior categories. The formal side of the evening finished off with an address from club chairman –Kevin Healy.

Loose Cannons provided some great music which saw a full dancefloor of happy faces. Just as people were starting to tire, DJ Mad Mike took over and everyone seemed to get a second wind to complete fun-filled night. The following were the sponsors and winners on the night:-
