After a mid –season break from track action all roads will once again lead to ‘The Pike’ this Sunday (July 28th) for round 6 of Waterford Raceway’s driver of the year championship for 2019. This round of racing is kindly sponsored by Boland Race Prep. and is sure to be another busy day for the club.
Along with the usual 3 rounds of racing, the Tom Murray perpetual cup will once again be up for grabs in the big 20 lap race of the day. Sunday also sees the introduction of the McNamara Micra Championship. This is a team championship consisting of an adult 1b driver and a junior driver combining points to take the overall win and will be run over 3 rounds in July , September and November.
There will be 3 categories ie - all male, all female and mixed. Each team will have a race name with 2 drivers named- no subbing allowed. So mams and dads, uncles and aunties as well as older siblings, don your racesuit and take the challenge. For more details contact a committee member.
